Musical non-formal learning in digital learning environments

<musicalytics> examines learning behavior in the acquisition of music-related content in digital learning environments with non-formal organization. Its focus is on specific access to learning and learning strategies that display features of informal learning.

Participants are provided with different learning resources asked to complete various types of task in a course offered at two music schools as part of the project.

Qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection (including screen recordings and log data) are used to record how the participants complete the tasks and which materials they use. This data is then analyzed using methods of learning analytics to identify digital learning paths and deduce strategies for self-regulated, digital music learning.
